        CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL COLLECTORS AND BATS

All of Chem Chek, Inc.’s collectors are certified through the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) as Certified Professional Collectors (CPCs).  Most are trained to the next higher level as Certified Professional Collector Trainers (CPCTs) and one of our employees has been recognized by DATIA as a Regional Certified Professional Collector Trainer (RCPCT) capable of providing DATIA collector training outside the confines of Chem Chek, Inc. 

All of our collectors are also qualified according to the Department of Transportation mandate as Breath Alcohol Technicians (BATs).  Three of our BATs are certified as BAT trainers.
 

        REGULATED and NON-REGULATED DRUG SCREEN COLLECTIONS

Chem Chek, Inc. provides both DOT regulated and corporate non-regulated drug screen collections.  Our collectors are trained to meticulously follow all federal guidelines for drug screen collections in order to provide our clients with the most reliable and defensible collections possible. 

        REGULATED AND NON-REGULATED BREATH ALCOHOL TESTING

Chem Chek, Inc. provides full service breath alcohol testing and only uses instruments on the approved Department of Transportation Conforming Products List.  We utilize the CMI Intoxilyzer 200 or the Intoximeter Alco-Sensor IV with the RBT IV for the majority of the breath alcohol testing. 

        ON-SITE COLLECTIONS

Our collectors and subcontractors are carefully screened to fulfill Chem Chek’s professional standards.  We will be happy to provide you will collectors in any area or to help you find established collection sites or clinics close to your work locations.
 

        DRUG and ALCOHOL POLICY ADMINISTRATION

Chem Chek, Inc. has many years of experience in DOT and corporate substance abuse administration.  The owners of Chem Chek, Inc., Gene and Diana Bauske, have successfully completed DATIA’s Consortium / TPA (Third Party Administrator) Management course.  We can provide our clients with everything from assistance in establishing a substance abuse policy, record keeping and reporting, random selection services, to full third party administrative duties.
 

        MEDICAL REVIEW OFFICER SERVICES

Chem Chek, Inc. has three Medical Review Officers (MRO) certified by either the American Association of Medical Review Officers or the Medical Review Officer Certification Council. 

v      Dr. Neal Sklaver is also a certified flight surgeon.  He can provide special attention to any clients involved in the Federal Aviation Administration. 

v      Dr. Daniel Drew uses the LOTUS NOTES reporting system for added security in the transmission of test results. 

v      Dr. James M. Vanderploeg is a certified M.D., C-MRO, Chief Medical Review Officer.  With the advent of the Medical Review Officer as a uniquely trained physician, he became one of the first certified MROs.  He was certified by the Medical Review Officer Certification Council (ACOEM) in 1992 and re-certified in 1997 and 2002.  He was also certified by the American Association of Medical Review Officers (AAMROC) in 1993 and re-certified in 1997 and 2002. 
 

Medical Review Officer Services will be performed by a qualified MRO in strict accordance with DOT regulations 49 CFR Part 40 and applicable modality regulations such as those for FMSCA, FTA, PHMSA, FAA, USCG, and FRA.  Review of Non-DOT results will follow the procedures of DOT tests when applicable.  Please See MRO Section for more Information. 
 

        TRAINING SERVICES

Chem Chek is proud to offer various training services to our clients, collectors and to clinics.  To our clients we offer a two-hour supervisor training program on signs and symptoms of drug and alcohol use.  This training fulfills the DOT requirements for Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and Federal Aviation Administration supervisor training rules.   

To clinics and collectors we offer drug screen collector initial training, refresher training and error correction training that meets the new DOT guidelines for formal training.  We offer the same initial, refresher, and error correction training for Breath Alcohol Technicians as required by the DOT. 

        LABORATORY SERVICES

Utilizing only SAMHSA certified laboratories for all our urine and hair testing, Chem Chek has long standing accounts with Quest Diagnostics Laboratories, Clinical Reference Laboratory (CRL), LabCorp, Inc., MedTox Laboratory, and Advanced Toxicology Network (ATN). 

        ADDITIONAL SERVICES

In addition to our normal urine drug urine screenings and breath alcohol testing services, Chem Chek, Inc. offers alternative testing services in the form of hair testing and “instant test” urine testing.  We also offer confidential DNA testing.
